another day, another creation (well not a day, more like a couple weeks). it's been a fun month in terms of working on cool stuff. i just gave a friend his new little buddy -a new munny! he's been asking "where's mine?" for a while now, so i got my butt in gear and made one in his own excessive SWAGGA styles. this one was just as fun to make a my 'noodles' munny because i love sculpting things. and this one was a lot of sculpting and a little less painting. the idea was to make the most blinged out munny this world has ever seen! and what is more blinged than a solid gold munny (gold PAINT people haha!) and more swag then he can carry? well this little dood here! so here you go world, meet BIG SWAGGA!

so a friend asked me to make her a replica of a munny i made for my cousin the cake decorator. my first commissioned work! this is exciting stuff!! i was so happy to do it. i kept the style the same but added a few extras just to make it special for her. shes crazy into candy so i molded some clay candy pieces and star sprinkles and voila! MIZZ SPRINKLES was born! i was so glad she liked it. this is why i love doing this stuff for people: i love making things, and i love it when the things i make create the happiest faces when they see them for the first time. its the best feeling ever. so here she is...MIZZ sprinkles!

this past weekend was my cousin's baby's 1st birthday! so to help with the celebrations i was asked by my cousin (auntie of the little birthday boy) to help with the cake. now anita is an amazing cake decorator. she does these cakes that just blow your mind (think ace of cakes on the food network). so for her nephew's 1st birthday we teamed up and made the most spectacular birthday cake this little man has ever seen!

so the cake was made by nita (http://www.eatmorehappy .blo g spot .com/) and the animal figurines were made by me! it was fun project for us cousins to work on together and i can't wait to do more collaborations with her!

me! i was hired by my friend's dance team to create some outfits for their performance with a very popular uk singer. it was very exciting stuff! my friend is a choreographer and she and her extremely talented dance team were going to be backup dancers wearing my outfits :D

however...when we all arrived that nite all hyped for the nite. we found out that the singer had brought in his own dancers and would no longer be needing their services. boo! but even though none of our talents got its time in the sun, it was still an awesome and fun experience (not to mention very sleepless) and i would do it all over again if i could. anyways...here are some of the pictures from that nite. since none of the girls got to dance, i did a mini photoshoot with them at the club that they were going to perform at.

so it was my best friend's birthday a few weeks ago and we decided to throw her a BRITNEY SPEARS birthday party! the rules: come dressed up in your favorite britney video outfit or time period ( ie crazy bald britney, party britney, baby mama britney...). and here are some of the results. some outfits were made by me and some were very put together by very creative friends :)

wow it's been BUSY! so after i designed the new logo for salesguide.ca (it's still not up yet), they asked me if i would be interested in becoming a contributing writer for their site. me? write about shopping!? hells yeah! of course, i'm not really a writer, but what i can do is shop. So every week or so i will be submitting articles about random places that i shop, eat, or travel to. i think i love this new role. i get to shop and then i get to talk about it (and have a valid reason to buy stuff -RESEARCH!). that being said, i just posted my FIRST ARTICLE woot! this is pretty exciting stuff.

for those who are not familiar with this site, its a brand new website that tracks sales all across canada. so when there is a sale in your area, it will be listed under your city. the site also tracks websites with current sales information and allows members to post their own sales sightings as well.

after being explained all this at great lengths *whew* i thought this would be a fun venture to get into. so check weekly on salesguide.ca for my articles!

so a month ago, i was hired by the owners of www.salesguide.ca to redesign the logo for their website. it's a shopping website that tracks sales across canada. its not up and running just yet but it will be soon. shopping? hells yeah! so i thought, cool why not! they wanted to make it look like one of those shiny web buttons (web buttons?), but to tell you the truth, i had no idea what they was talking about. did i mention i'm the biggest computer dummy? well there you have it. i am. so i did some research into it and saw what they were looking for and made the most killer looking web button thingy-ma-giger that they had ever seen. i was so happy that they liked it so much. i haven't used photoshop in a long time so it was nice to be able to sharpen those skills again, like riding a bike right? whew. so here it is, the final product!

who doesn't love toys? the older i get the more i appreciate them. its makes us happy just to be around them and when one of mine brings a smile to someone's face, well there's just no better feeling. and it makes me even happier when one of them can make a grown man squeal with joy like a little girl! these are a sample of the munnys that i have done. all were inspired by the people that they are named after. there are more to come, but i'm unemployed at the moment and therefore lacking the funds to create more of these lovable little doods. i totally tweaked on a few of them and actually made trading cards too woot!

i haven't done anything new so far. so i thought, why not post something cool that i did several months ago as a starting point. this was something i did for halloween that im still in awe about. it was a joint effort between me and my neighbor justin. i designed a costume of out my all time favorite artist -Junko Mizuno. there's just no one cooler! it's amazing what you can do with a lot of super sculpy and fun fur these days! every piece of this costume was hand crafted. the outfit was created by my amazing designer friend justin and all the props were made by me. and after that was all done, we all had a fun day doing a photoshoot complete with fake blood and all that goodness. what i'm going to top this with next year i have no idea. this was pretty kickass!

so my birthday just passed a couple weeks ago and i am currently stuck in a jobless limbo. with my old career not working for me and with no new career prospects on the horizon i figure, why not do something i have always wanted to do. just be happy being creative again -on projects i WANT to work on and with people i LIKE to work with. it may not pay much (or at all), but at least i can love what i do again. so what more can i ask for? well besides a paying job. but one thing at a time...
